This year I was crowned Miss Manchester Fire Prevention Queen. As Miss Manchester I am responsible for raising money for the Manchester Volunteer Fire Department as well as bringing awareness to the Manchester area about fire safety and prevention. So far in my reign, I have visited local daycares and Manchester Elementary School to help teach children about how they can make their homes more fire safe. They had the opportunity to learn to not play with matches, how to plan an escape route, and when to change the batteries in their smoke detectors.
