This project will plant flower/vegetable container and table gardens for low-income senior citizens in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Many old people live alone and would benefit by having pretty flowers to look at and fresh vegetable to eat. The table garden beds will be raised off the ground and handicapped accessible so seniors will be able to work in their gardens without kneeling or be able to sit down and work. I have already recieved some donations of soil and containers to help the project. I will use the grant to purchase tools, seeds and other supplies.
