See It: The Community being helped

The goal of this project is to raise funds in order to purchase books for the town's school libraries. In our community, reconfiguration of the two primary schools to K-5 means each school needs new multi-age and multicultural books. There is no money in the budget to purchase these books. "Books for change" will provide funding to allow the schools to buy new books for its primary school libraries. The project started in February, 2007, and we raised $400. We are hoping to increase the amount this year, and a grant of $500 would help us to meet our goal.
