After-school Art Workshop

The reason this program was enacted was to help fund the AP Art students of Suttons Bay High School to be able to go to New York City for the first time every - all funds for the trip are student produced without any help from the school. For all of the years prior to this one the students could only afford to make it to Chicago and although it is a great experience the whole point for the students to travel to another city is to explore different motivations and ideas that they might be interested in.

Miss Sacramento County's Outstanding Teen

The pageant stereotype scares some young people away - but the thousands of community aware and active young women who are part of the Miss America's Outstanding Teen organization know that it is not a "pageant," but truly a platform to, not only earn scholarship money, but make their voices heard. (You know, like in Miss Congeniality - "It's not a pageant - It's a scholarship program!") With a crown on your head, people stop and listen. It's a chance to change your community, or change the world.

Empowerment-Empowering Young Women To Succeed

I will help every community if possible. I want to help young women between the ages of 10 and 18. This program will educated our young women and help keep them off the street. It is a fact that most young girls engaged in sexual activity and other things right after school. This program will be one that will take place after school. It will be more of an arts program. The young women will be able to participate in things such as creative writing, dance, and other things as well as getting help with their homework. Through my program young women will develop friendships and develop hobbies.

Endless Summer Fest

Turning Point Youth Collective is a non-profit youth organization in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Flowers for the Arts

Here's the plan: We're going to grow a large plot of cut flowers this spring, organically - without pesticides, chemicals, etc.. Mid-summer, we'll get a spot in the local farmers' market and sell the flowers in mixed and make-your-own bouquets. All profits we earn will be donated to The Washington Community Arts and Cultural Center (Wash Arts), in Washington, PA. Wash Arts offers instruction in painting and drawing, dance, theatre, poetry, and music.

ANGEL TROUPE

At risk teenager girls ages 11-17, introduced to the arts. They create plays, music, and dance. They direct, they act, they dance, and they commit. The program will be about graduating high school, and college, by using the arts as a outlet for social, school, and family stress. Strong educated women will be there mentors, and also sponsered trips to shows, and meet and greets with local actors, musicians, and working professionals. Have professional luncheons, and be required to write and keep journals. The main requirement will be maintaining their grades.

Kids HELPing Kids

Kids HELPing kids was inspired by a 10 year old boy who needed money to continue playing football with his team after his parents suffered a serious car accident and lost time from work. Adrianna, a 13 year old girl, decided to raise funds for this boy and other kids like him to play sports, and participate in arts and music programs.
