Recreation, playtime, downtime, relaxation, make-believe, and just plain fun describe the activities surrounding a playground. Until last year, children in the Crescent community had just a few playground toys to enjoy, some even unsafe by today’s standards. The Crescent Community Playground Association (CCPA) joined together for the purpose of replacing the old, unsafe play equipment at the Crescent School. The rural Crescent community includes 3500 residents nestled in a wooded region between Lake Crescent and the Straits of Juan de Fuca.
