I have proposed a project that I plan to present to the Mayor this spring that will help homeless youth get involved in the community. The homeless youth population in Eugene Oregon is high, and during my time volunteering, spending time with them, I believe that helping them find that they have created a sense of change, and they were needed in developing their community, opposed to feeling chastised is necessary for their emotional growth and self esteem.
