Is it common for "bad" schools to be in more impoverished neighborhoods and if so is that fair? What do you think?
Coming from New York, I have noticed that many of the schools with "bad" reps tend to be in more impoverished neighborhoods and many of the students simply end up going to the schools in their district unaware of the "better" schools out there because they are so far. Is this fair, do you notice these similar issues in your neighborhoods? Let us know! - Your Friendly DoSomething Intern!
Should colleges put less emphasis on international students and more on allowing underprivileged families to go to school?
Read up about this here. Although many schools are trying to make it easier to go to college with all different kinds of aid being offered, there is still much debate over whether or not schools should accept fewer (if any) foreign exchange students since that limits the chances for many students who cannot afford to attend certain schools. What do you think about this?
Does being homeless revoke a person's natural human rights?
How do YOU define what's included in natural rights (a.k.a. rights that every human should have)? Do you feel that when a person becomes/is homeless, they are treated as if they have lost the privilege of natural rights?
