El Rincon del Niño aims to improve the quality of education of the children of elementary school N 22757 Viña Vieja in Chincha, Peru, by constructiong a library and implementing several reading programs. The coordinating team is comprised of four Peruvian college students in Lima with extensive experience in the social service field, and myself, sophomore Swarthmore college student. Supporting our project is the peruvian Chairman of Texas-Peru Chapter of NGO Partners of the Americas, Iliana Diaz, who will provide volunteers, the construction of the library itself, and in kind donations.
