Every summer I notice youth hanging out and doing a lot of negativity around the neighborhood. Last year I decided that there needs to be a change towards positive initiatives within my community. What brings about positive change more than cultural awareness. Let me show these young peole that the have a greater meaning in life, and a powerful cultural history. So I decided to have a annual festival that allow youth not only to witness culture dances, songs, and plays. It allowed them to play a major part in hosting this event for their community.
