Girl Talk was founded in 2002 by a then 15-year-old Haley Kilpatrick.  Girl Talk is a student-to-student mentoring program that pairs middle school girls with high school girls who serve as mentors. Weekly meetings are held before or after school, during which the high school leader conducts valuable lessons that address issues middle school girls face every day. One example of a weekly lesson is Being Nice. Middle school girls are encouraged to share any positive news, concerns or problems they may have.
