Almost two years ago on February 1st 2006 my best friend Sydney Coxon died from a brain tumor called a pediatric diffused intrinsic brain stem glioma when she was 11. She was diagnosed in January of 2005, so she was sick for a little over a year. While she was sick she was treated by many doctors and she underwent many sessions of chemo-therapy and radiation. Currently there are no known causes for brain tumors and very little treatment. There are over 120 different types of brain tumors, which makes finding a effective treatment difficult.
