MAE is a band that gives back! Having wrapped up the mtvU tour, the band MAE has announced that they'll launch a spring headlining run in support of their major label debut, Singularity, which released last fall.
|
Starting March 16, the trio is partnering with Habitat for Humanity and Invisible Children for their 5-week U.S. headlining tour with The Honorary Title, Between the Trees, and Far-Less Supporting. The guys- Dave Elkins, Jacob Marshall, and Zach Gehring- are touring in Japan right now and then heading to Australia for a 7-city-run of performances.
Frontman, Dave Elkins says that the band's partnership with Habitat for Humanity and Invisible Children is,
"...a continuing effort to learn more about charitable organizations and serve as a bridge between those groups and our fan community."

Like MAE, Fall Out Boy is linked to the organization Invisible Children, which seeks to improve the quality of life for children who have been affected by warfare. On February 26, Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz is going to put his words into action and march on Washington with 1,000 other young activists. Wentz is part of the group of do-ers scheduled to meet with Congress to urge them to support the Ugandan peace talks and to provide funds for the displaced. Uganda has been involved in a twenty-two year long civil war that has displaced countless children from their homes.
Last July, Fall Out Boy made a humanitarian trip to the country with Invisible Children and also ended up shooting a music video there. The band has been really persistent with their efforts.. making them another one of our Bands that Give Back!
