Project Description

From July 7-18, 2008 Far West Wheelchair Sports will be hosting the 25th Annual Northern California Junior Sports Camp. The purpose of the camp is to introduce adapted sports and recreational activities to children and youth with physical disabilities and provide the opportunity to have fun and participate in the same sports as their able-bodied peers. We work on the physical aspect of the sport but we also teach the campers other skills like independence, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

Due to our limited budget, we are requesting a grants to offset camp costs and possibly offer scholarships to youth who otherwise could not afford to attend. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated by the participants. In return for our gratitude, your company will be recognized in our camp program.
