CGG recently clued you in on the news that Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth will be turned in to an opera (for real!) in Milan.

We didn't know Al Gore could sing! Er.....maybe not, but his Nobel Prize-winning 2006 documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, is being turned into an opera by Italian composer Giorgio Battistelli for the Milan opera house La Scala. It will debut in 2011, and here's hoping that we've made some headway on the problem by then.
