Through my struggle in making the Girls' Varsity Tennis Team I have learned the invaluable lesson that with hard work and determination, I can accomplish anything. In addition, I have also discovered that making a difference in people's lives by teaching proper tennis technique is the most important experience I've had in my tennis career.

Being active is an important to a healthy life style. Running requires Endurance, Heart, stamina, and passion. I call this project "The Runners you Love to Hate". Because every one both loves and hates runners. They love them cause they wish they were them and they hate them because they know they're not them. This is to raise awareness in the benifits of running. I'm in my local Cross Country team and I know that running is important to my health. Our team practices because we know that when our feet give out our hearts take over.

Ailis, my sister, traveled to the country of Lesotho in the summer of 2005. After her interactions with the children in the Touching Tiny Lives Foundation’s safe home, she vividly described the stories she discovered during her time. These children are either orphaned because their parents passed away from AIDS or are stricken with the disease itself. My brother and I decided it was time to act and we could not and would not remain silent.

We would like to encourage students to take charge of their health by having a 3K fun run as part of our school's wellness program. Currently we teach on the importance of eating healthy and exercising. We all learn best by doing therefore; we would like to challenge our students and faculty to get fit with a 3K race through our local community.

Everyone loves to eat and eating gives you energy to exercise. Do both in the same minute and you get an interesting relay race. The Zeta Psi Fraternity at the University of Michigan is going to be putting on the first U of M Burrito Relay. Teams of 4 will run a lap, eat a burrito as fast as they can then run another lap around where, upon finishing, they will pass of a baton. This will continue until the last contestant has made it around the track.
