See It: The Community being helped
My group, MR. ADAPT (Montgomery Rock-Hill Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team), will be participating in our town's Earth Day fair on April 27, 2008. Mr. ADAPT was formed in the summer of 2006 in response to the need for drug and environmental awareness among the residents of the Montgomery Township in NJ, especially the youth. Our group consists of high school and middle school students in Montgomery Township. We have participated in the previous Earth Day fair and have received recognition for it from the township. Our exhibit this year involves drug abuse prevention, eco-friendly homes and eco-friendly cars. Our eco-friendly car exhibit will include alternative fuel sources, such as, fuel cells and biodiesel. The eco-friendly home exhibit will include a model of an eco-friendly home and information on how to make your home eco-friendly. The model will include wind power and a revolutionary new way to collect solar energy.

Project Updates:
Our project includes 3 tri-fold posters, which cover drug abuse prevention, eco-friendly homes and eco-friendly cars. The center piece of our project is a model of an eco-friendly home.
We are now in the process of finishing up the design of the model home and some of the posters are close to completion. The next step is to begin construction of the model home. We need additional funds to buy the materials, such as, solar panels and LED lights, which are the most expensive parts of our project.
