Despite the rumors, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie held no wedding in New Orleans recently. Instead the cause-crazy lovebirds were in the city's Lower 9th Ward -- one of the areas hit the hardest after the levees broke post-Katrina -- for Brad's Make it Right Project, an initiative to build environmentally-friendly housing that is affordable and sustainable.
Right now though, the green building area area is looking very PINK, thanks to Pitt's Pink Project!

“The Pink Project represents opportunities hidden within this tragedy and focuses attention on the plight of the Lower 9th. Pink is a virtual city of Hope. A hybrid of art, architecture, cinema and media, Pink is conceived as an informational, commemorative, communication tool which raises awareness and activates individual participation to heal local wounds in need of global aid." This coming August marks the third anniversary of the Hurricane Katrina disasters. While many parts of New Orleans are thriving again, too many more aren’t, and tons of families are still in need homes. So thanks, Brad and Angie, for thinking pink!
