It's Back to School shopping season. Stores and organizations know that, in today's economy, families could use a little extra during this busy time.
DoSomething.org and Macy's have joined forces with Kelly Osbourne and America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon for a campaign that rewards back to school shoppers with gift cards, scholarships and a way to give back to your community.
DoSomething.org launched their first annual scavenger hunt a month ago awarding several teens with prizes such as a Lenovo IdeaPad laptops, college scholarships and a trip to the VH1 DoSomething Awards in Los Angeles hosted by Glee’s Jane Lynch upon completion of several projects benefiting their community.
Macy’s has partnered with DoSomething.org to promote a mobile scan-to-donate campaign that celebrates and rewards youth activism.
After consumers scan a QR code, which will be featured in Macy’s and the company will donate $1. The company will donate up to $250,000 to DoSomething.org.
Macy’s delivers fashion and affordable luxury to customers at more than 800 locations in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Guam.

To celebrate this liberating experience and help raise money for America’s youth, more than 50 famous musicians, actors and athletes have donated their signed carry-ons, party purses, briefcases, guitar cases and other baggage to JetBlue’s Celebrity Baggage charity auction.
Over fifty celebrities signed luggage, purses, handbags, guitar cases and other baggage for JetBlue’s Celebrity Baggage charity auction on eBay event raising money for DoSomething.org, which is one of the largest organizations in the United States that helps young people give back to the causes they care about.
