Olympic medalist opens up about childhood abuse
U.S. swimmer and Olympic silver medalist Margaret Hoelzer is opening up about being sexually abused as a child. Hoelzer says she was abused by a playmate’s father at the age of 5.

"I was going to their house on a regular basis. I would spend the night at their house from time to time. ... It was definitely a situation where I was taught to trust that person."Related Causes:

When Olympic athlete Usain Bolt prepared himself for the 200 meter race, the gold medal was the last thing on his mind. Beating the world record for the fastest time was. And that he did.
Hands in the air, chest heaving, he passed the finish line at 19.30 seconds and broke Michael Johnson’s 12 year record! Bolt forged the greatest race ever run yesterday and made Olympic history.
“I just blew my mind and the world’s mind,” Bolt said.

Michael Phelps won his first gold just four years ago in Athens. Yesterday in Beijing, Phelps repeated the feat for the 10th and 11th times, winning the 200-meter butterfly and swimming the opening leg of the 4 x 200 freestyle relay, giving him more gold medals than any Olympian in the history of the games.

Joey Cheek was a speed-skating Olympic champion at the 2006 in Turin, Italy, winning a gold medal for the 500m and a silver in the 1000m. Still, the athlete is not welcome at the just-underway summer games in Beijing.
