If elected, John McCain would be the oldest first term president in the history of the united states. This isn't inherently bad, except for the fact that John McCain has had repeated bouts of cancer and is quite possibly exhibiting signs of early onset Alzheimer's and dementia. Given what is known of John McCain's health history, it's altogether reasonable to question his ability to fully serve as commander-in-chief.

Feist breaks the ice on global warming

Last night, CGG took a break from the absolute madness that is New York Fashion Week, and attended an intimate gathering at songbird Vanessa Carlton's Soho loft for her send-off party to the Arctic.

Party like a (green) rock star!

Vanessa Carlton is an eco goddess who practices what she preaches – right down to how she throws down!

In anticipation of her voyage to the High Arctic, the frontline of climate change, with the UK-based Cape Farewell, Vanessa’s having a soiree at her New York loft. But more than the usual amount of planning has gone into this celebration. The cups are biodegradeable. The napkins are made from recycled paper. And the plates are made from a sugar-cane base, so they won’t be sitting in a landfill for decades to come.

Moby brings down the house

The press is out. The Do Something/Glassbooth Generation Action party was the hottest party during the DNC. We had the best-dressed crowd (no Ann Taylor here), hippest venue at the new Jet Hotel, and the most good-looking VIP peeps in all of Denver. The best part? The live acoustic set by Moby and crew.

Moby blows out Generation Action

Music track choices at the Democratic Convention have included Stevie Wonder—a DNC favorite, Lenny Kravitz, and Survivor. But what if they got a multi-million and multi-platinum selling DJ to spin the songs as speakers get on and off the podium?

“I don’t think it would be a good idea if they chose me. I’d play Public Enemy and Clash songs,” says Moby.

Moby was in Denver to play a rare acoustic set Tuesday night at the Jet Hotel, at the Generation Action party, sponsored by Do Something and Glassbooth to celebrate young political activists.
