Hello we are Young and Aware of HIV/AIDS and Teen Pregnancy –“YA-HAT”. We will start a campaign called “What’s under YA-HAT?” and educate teens about the risks of having unprotected sex. According to www.teenpregnancysc.org , every 55 seconds a SC teen gets pregnant and we rank 11 out of 46 counties for pregnancies of girls aged 10-19. According to the CDC facts, half of all new HIV infections in the US are in young women of color under the age of 25.
