Flooding strands a million people in India

Rescue workers are trying to get aid to over 1 million people who are stranded after flooding in northern India.

Torrential rains caused massive flooding in Bahir state last week, and authorities are having a hard time reaching people because the storms washed away roads and made railway lines impassable.
