One day I was walking through the streets of Boston and decided I should blow my nose. Nobody wants to carry around a tissue full of snot in their pockets so the next logical action was to find a trash can to slam dunk my tissue in. After five blocks I didn't see a single trash can. At this point many people would throw it on the ground but I was determined to find a trash can even if it took me ten blocks. After my fourteenth block I finally found a trash can. This is when it hit me.

As a community, my local Spanish Club wants to paint large murals on various buildings to add flavor to downtown and to express our rich cultures. We have a large population of Hispanics, and my class thinks it would be great to blend all of the amazing cultures and paint it for all to see in an artistic way.
We intend to bring all of the local teens from the other two highschools together to express what we feel. Many of the older generations express a certain amount of distaste towards the large population of hispanics.

J.U.N.E Project stands for Jesus Unites Neighbors Everywhere. It is a group of churches from South Jersey that get together in Pottsville, PA. We work together, with the city to help improve the living conditions. Some of the things we do are: clean parks, blaiz trails, paint buildings that really need help, and help the Salvation Army. These are among many other thing we do to help improve the city of Pottsville.

We are a group of experienced young artists at Miami Palmetto Senior High School who have created Painting Smiles to share our love of art with the community. Through painting murals we hope to promote the causes that we believe in--one of which is that the most important purpose of art is to inspire smiles from the viewer.
At the present we've painted over 500 sq feet of murals and are planning several more projects that will span over 600 sq feet.

Our entire school (Christian Heritage Academy) during the 2007-2008 school year is planning a school-wide event to go into a local public park and paint, clean, plant trees & we also hope to replace old playground equipment as well. This one day event could potentially involve (Pre-K through 12th grades) 650 students and up to 300 parent volunteers, faculty, staff and school administration.
We are looking forward to creating a cleaner, safe, community park for our surrounding metro area families to use and enjoy.
