The EMA awards seek to reward those in the entertainment industry who "convey environmental messages in the most creative and influential ways," according to their website.

Days before the election, the Republican presidential candidate took a break from the campaign trail to trade jokes with the fake Sarah Palin on the comedy TV show "Saturday Night Live."
McCain joked that he might resort to a strategy called "the double maverick."
