Ben Affleck wins em all

This past Wednesday at 4pm, Ben Affleck won a charity poker tournament in Denver which helped raise over $60,000 for the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Ben beat out his buddies Seth Meyers of SNL, Jimmy Kimmel’s ex-girlfriend Sarah Silverman, actor Richard Dreyfuss, and talk show host Montel Williams.

After the support he received when both his parents had cancer, Cody began to make and deliver Cody’s Comfort Kits to kids who were in the hospital. By making personalized baskets with items such as crafts and coloring books, the kids knew they were not alone.

In a program that links inter-generational ideas, Life Stories, is a group where youth record the stories of seniors. This program creates a space where the stories of seniors can be treasured, as the youth then share the stories with others through various media.

From a resident’s request, Jenny began holding Art Class for the Elderly, teaching the seniors drawing techniques. By giving them the ability to communicate through a new medium, these classes have helped increase the self confidence of the seniors.
