My project involves a runway show for everybody, not just the stick thin model type, to flaut what their mommas gave them! The project would be called BeYourself and would try to promote a healthy body image among teens. The idea for clothes is very unique. I would have recycled shirts available to any teen (or young adult) who has something to tell the world. The people who collect these shirts would design their own by painting, drawing, cutting, or writing to spread their message to the world. They could be messages about body image, world peace, stereotypes...

Renegade Love Mission, Vision, and Values Statements Mission As divorce rates climb to more than 50% and abortions accumulate to more than 49 million since 1973, our generation is hurting from the pain of families being torn apart and the unspoken death of our peers. We exist to help the youth of this generation, and generations to come, by fostering an attitude of chastity, modesty, and truth. By fostering these ideals and the culture of life, we intend to help shape the future of our world through relationships.

Hello,
My name is Andrea. In May of 2004, I started a Live Journal community in the likeness of the popular CW television show, America's Next Top Model. In the beginning, this was merely for leisure and fun. I did not expect for the community to take off the way that it did.
The community, which has just completed it's 11th cycle/season, has become a way for people from all over the world that may not normally have the opportunity to model in the fashion industry (or even for the show), a chance to be a model. There are no limitations as to who can partcipate.

I launched Madison SOS (Speak Out, Sister!) at age 15, in the spring of 2007. I wanted to do something to address several issues in my community of Madison, Wisconsin relating to young women: poor self-esteem, political apathy, and little knowledge of how they as community members could affect grassroots change. A high school student myself, I decided to focus on the high school audience as my primary constituency.

WYSE (Women and Youth Supporting Each Other) is a mentoring program that pairs college-age women with middle school-age girls for one-on-one mentoring relationships and curriculum-based mentoring, covering a range of topics from future options to reproductive health to body image and nutrition. Please see www.wyse.org.
This summer, I am organizing a conference for the directors of the fourteen branches of WYSE using primarily in-kind donations.
