the problem:

We will be targeting the global teen community with this project. Here we are trying to get teens to become more aware that they have the power to change their community even if it is one act at a time.

why it's important:

Our project uses blogtv.com which already is highly utilized by teens to inform teens in an entertaining yet educating way. Also, with the support of other organizations including peta and NASA we hopefully will be able to have giveaways throughout the shows of free "SWAG" that focuses on a certain topic (i.e. animal rights, education)

the plan of action:

We will be starting our own channel on blogtv.com. Through this we will be hosting weekly shows for teens about how to get active in their community and finding a cause. We will discuss topics such as animal rights, education and discrimination. Through this we hope to get teens to become more involved in their community by starting their own club or organization or even just to volunteer.

how you can get involved:

Others can help by tuning into our show once the information has been posted on blogtv.com and on www.creativemediaproductions.info

project updates:

CGG rocks Z100 New York's Zootopia!

Do Something was the official charity of the biggest concert of the year, Saturday's Z100 Zootopia stadium concert at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, NJ. DS represented with a trio of booths at the awesome ZVillage pre-fest: one encouraging voter registration; another featuring reusable ECOBAGS with issue-related designs (CGG's fave: A chicken and chicks with the slogan I AM NOT A NUGGET); and a third allowing teens (along with stars like Ferras and Flyleaf!) to record their rants/raves on video for use on dosomething.org.
