See It: The Community being helped
On Maay 13, 2007, from 11 am to 5 pm, KAOS Radio will be holding a rodeo at the Peterborough Memorial Centre parking lot and inside the Morrow Building. There is a driver's obstacle course, organized and run by the Council of Driver Trainers of Central Ontario(CDTCEO). The course contains basic problem areas for drivers such as left hand turns, emergency stops and defensive driving practices. There will also be a driver's obstacle course for motorcycles.
This exciting event includes draws, prizes, food a trade show and activities for all ages.
We are asking the public to come and participate any time between 11 am and 5 pm in order to take advantage of invaluable driving information and fun for the whole family.
There will also be an informative course on respecting heavy vehicles and their associated blind spots. The presentation is called "The No Zone" is organized by the CDTCEO and includes a demonstration in a heavy vehicle where participants can sit in the cab and physically experience how a truck driver can not see other vehicles in certain positions around the truck.
