Mother and Child Health Clinic

In 2000, Karing For Kids Nepal established the Mother and Child Health Clinic (MCH-Clinic) in the northeastern district of Rasuwa to provide basic medical services to 7,000 people in the villages of Gatlang, Goljung, and Chilime. These compact and remote Tamang villages are some of the most destitute in all of Nepal. Crippling poverty and its associated problems ? such as a lack of clean water and poor indoor air quality ? contribute to a number of health problems among the population. Incidents of gastro-intestinal illness and acute respiratory infections are high.
