Have a Bake Sale

A Bake sale is a great way to raise money because, hey, who can resist cookies?!

Get ready to bake!

Find recipes (ask mom…she’ll probably have some great ones!). Get the ingredients you’ll need (ask if people have extra stuff so you won’t have to buy anything). Gather lots of mixing bowls, cookie trays, baking pans, and whatever else you need, and get baking!

Let ‘em know!

Hang up flyers or ask to make announcements in classes. Tell people about all the yummy treats you’ll be selling, and tell them about how the will be able to satisfy their sweet tooth WHILE helping out a great cause.

Set up your stand

See if your school or any other place in town will let you set up your table in their building. Make sure you have a big, BIG sign that tells everyone you’re having a bake sale, and that the money is going to a great cause.

Spice it up!

Feel like being fancy? Let people decorate their own cookies or cupcakes (if you want, you could charge an extra ten cents for that!) See how creative you can be to encourage people to buy!
