Piñata Party
Let people hit a donkey with a stick to fundraise! Okay, not a real donkey – a paper-mache one. You know, a piñata! (and of course, it doesn’t have to be a donkey). Get your sticks and blindfolds ready and get this fundraising event swinging!

Get your piñata and candy
The main focus of the event! See if a local business will donate the piñata or a few bags of candy so you don’t have to pay. Or, if you’re feeling really ambitious, try and make your own piñata out of paper mache!
Let ‘em know!
Tell everyone. Make signs or flyers, or send out e-mails. Give them the info that they need:
- Where will it be?
- When will it be?
- Who can participate?
- How much does it cost?
- What time is it from/until?
- What charity is the money going to?
- How will it work?
Hang it up
Set up the piñata. Find a place where you can hang the piñata, or attach the piñata to a stick that someone can hold. Find sticks or bats that people can hit the piñata with, and add a blindfold into the mix to make it really challenging. Charge people $1 for a swing, and the person who breaks the piñata gets to keep the candy!
