Step Up to the Challenge for Your Grade

INGREDIENTS

A willingness to cooperate and negotiate with administrators, teachers, and student leaders

Tons of posters and flyers
Scrumptious Slogan: Raise Money to Party with Your Grade!

A whole lot of spirit!

Speak to the Principal, Deans, Teachers, etc… and Get Them on Your Side!

If the contest is going to be a school-wide, inter-grade competition, then the principal should be aware of it so that he can help in any way. The principal can help spread the word, as well as fund the party for the winning grade.

Let the ENTIRE School Know

Work with the student government, the grade governments, different homeroom teachers, and other clubs to help get the word out to the entire school. Posters and flyers throughout the school will also be helpful.

But Just How Can We Raise Money?

A few teachers can be assigned to each grade. His/her responsibilities will include keeping track of the donations from students in their grade, as well as collecting overall fundraising earnings. Other students can use creative fundraising ideas of their own, or check out Do Something’s “Fundraising Ideas for Any Cause” page for help.

What Happens After All the Money is Made?

After a few weeks, have the teachers of each grade come together to find a total for their grade. Compare the total earnings of each grade. The winners can now have a school-funded party, thanks to their generosity!
