State of Fear (2004) by Michael Crichton is a scientific fiction thriller based upon the authors three years of scientific research on global warming. Though he paints the issue as one that is exaggerated and isn’t nearly as big of a problem as some scientists claim, other’s believe he has manipulated the facts for his own benefit.
