Nancy and Lauren will discuss the essential elements of a strong brand to help you understand how to create a lasting image that helps you stand out against the rest.

SESSION 4 (2:30-3:25pm)
How To Tell Your Story
Speaker: Dave DeLuca, Head of Campaigns, DoSomething.org

A well told story can make all the difference in getting support for your cause. In this workshop, we'll go over the key elements of telling a story for social change, and then practice using those elements in our own stories. Each person will walk out of the session with one specific story that they can use in the future.

Speed Pitch Intro & Speed Pitching
Learn how to answer the age old question, “So, what do YOU do?” in a way that is clear, concise and compelling. In the style of speed dating, you will rotate around the room with two minutes to pitch your project or organization to not-for-profit and corporate professionals. The not-for-profit and corporate professionals will then provide two minutes of feedback on the successes and weaknesses of your pitch. Although it sounds a little scary, we promise you that you will learn a lot, have a ton of fun and maybe even win some money! The three attendees that receive the best overall feedback from the professionals will receive a $500 project grant.
