The Problem

The Living Stories Benefit Concert is designed to invite people into a conversation about things that aren’t really talked about; depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. The hope is that music will become a platform to talk about the issues and to remind the people in the room that if these are things they are struggling with they are not alone. The event design echoes the original TWLOHA story that says “songs are brave things bold enough to sing when all they know is darkness.” With the Living Stories Benefit Concert our UChapter has the opportunity to create a night of music and hope.

Plan of Action

On February 16, 2013, we plan to host a benefit concert at the Ohio Union. The night will be filled with poetry, music, and conversations.
