The Problem

Many communities in impoverished areas of the Dominican Republic find basic needs a scarcity and the ability to overcome challenges like a polluted water supply, lack of education and lack of medical attention just a dream. Students in an Interact Club in NJ want to create and support a self-sustaining community in the Dominican Republic where funds, clothing and school supplies have been sent for many years.

Plan of Action

Send 10 students to DR to use the supplies sent in building safe schools, implementing water purification systems, providing basic hygiene kits and to volunteer at medical clinics through Foundation for Peace nonprofit organization.
