No Seat Belt, No Running Engine

No matter what the law enforcement tries to do, people will commute without wearing their seatbelt. It’s something that has unfortunately become a habit for drivers all over the world. So as we all know, habits are not easy to break, especially if you don’t remember. We all think we are immortal to any situation that is brought before us, but that just isn’t true. So why not make a car that reminds you to put on your seat belt. Anybody can make a poster, advertisements, and television ads advising you to put on your seatbelt, yet we are just informing the ones who already know and the ones who could care less. With my idea on this car would be that the seatbelt sort of another engine starter if you will. Once you seat belt is fastened you are able to turn on the engine and if you decide to remove the seat belt while driving, the car will shut off as if you turned of the engine. It’s not just an ingenious idea, it’s an effective one as well. No more worries about people dying in car accidents because they were unable to fastened their seat belt. There will be those angered by this modification to their car, but I don’t see why anyone would be angry when the law is just trying to avoid any other possible cause of death. This unfortunately will cost a lot of money, but it’s something that will make a huge impact in the world. A positive impact right now is something we all need and if saving a life because they wore their seat belt isn’t positive then nothing in the world is positive anymore. The whole world will change drastically after this occurrence. Even with all the warning signs in the world about wearing a seatbelt out on the road, no one who doesn’t care will wear it until a tragedy strikes them. Sadly, that’s the only way anyone learns anything about wearing the seat belt.
