Young Life is a non-denominational group designed to bringing kids together in a place of unity, acceptance, and love. The Young Life leaders are dedicated to serving the community and the kids one hundred percent. Young Life leaders attend lunch at school to hang out, show up at kids sporting events and activities, and hang out with them on the weekends. Young Life leaders are available at all hours of the day to talk if a kid is in need.
Once a week there is Young Life club at the school. Club starts off with a welcome and signing some crazy songs that everyone can sing along to (meaning every kid will know the song). Then there is a big mixer game to allow people to get to know each other. Usually there is another song, and then announcements, and announcements is interrupted with a walk-on skit. This walk on is designed to be funny and make the kids laugh. After the walk on is a game with a few volunteers that is usually geared for being extremely entertaining. After the game is one more subtle song, and then a speaker gets up and gives a message on anything the speaker desires-usually relating to the Bible though in a very subtle way. After the speaker prays at the end there is some sort of food and beverage (free of charge) and just hanging out with friends.
During the summer are week long camps with all sorts of fun. Leaders spend so much time investing into kids hoping they will make good decisions.
