One day I had come from school and stopped by my friends house. When I left, I saw an abandoned little shed and I checked to go see what was in it. I was a little puppy in there and it looked scared. It was also alone and It looked hurt. Without being scared, I picked up the puppy and it was whimpering. it must have been scared not being used to humans. I took it to the closest shelter I could find. They were going to give it medical care. I was there during the whole process to make sure that he was alright. He had some troubles with his insides is what I figured out from the veterinarians. They have taken care of him and they put him in an animal shelter. After that day, i would always see him after school just to make sure that he was happy and that he was being treated right. He seemed more happier and more energetic and I was so glad to see that I saved a life a helpless animal. 3 weeks after that day, With my parents permission I adopted him for myself. I was so happy the day I got him because I knew he would be happy with me. I named him Rocky for being such a brave dog while I took him to the vet. Rocky is now 2 years old and happy and healthy. He is taken to the same vet that helped him with is problems often just to make sure he is alright. Rocky is healthy and he will always be in my heart. i will never forget the day that I saved his life. i feel good about myself. When an animal is in need, I promise that I will be there to help it, always!
