Tips for leading a healthy lifestyle:
Food:
- Well balanced diet
- i.e. - plenty of water + milk
- plenty of fruits and veggies
- lean meats
- complex sugars (i.e. pasta) instead of simple sugars (candy)
- whole grains instead of refined foods
- vitamins
Activity:
- exercise at least 3-4 times a week
- vary types of physical activity (i.e. basketball, yoga, biking etc)
- get plenty of fresh air
Mental well being:
- MINIMUM 6 hours of sleep a night
- cat naps; no more than 20 minutes
- learn something new everyday
- READ
- make time for YOU, at least a half hour a day
- meditate
- expand on a hobby you enjoy
- DON'T DO DRUGS
