One of my Graduation requirements is to complete a project called an Exhibition as a Senior. An Exhibition is a project of our choice that all graduates of Sedona Red Rock High School must complete to receive a diploma. I found my inspiration for my project while reading a New York Times article about Muhammad Yunus, a Noble Peace Prize winner who was awarded the honor for his project that gave small business loans to third world country business owners. My exhibition will explore his international accomplishments as well as focusing on some ways that all individuals can get involved with the programs available. In addition to the exhibitions regular requirements, I am pursuing honors by following in Mr. Yunus’ footsteps and lending money that earned at a summer internship to small business owners in third world countries. As well I am pitching the ideas to fammily and friends to spread the awareness. They are loaning through a private company to help solve the poverty problem that is now apparent within the world. I know that my excitement about this endeavor will spread through my community and reach the level of involvement that is necessary to help the small business owners to be sucessful.
