My project is about getting people to forget about body image through dancing. My mother enrolled me in dance lessons at the age of 5 and I danced for 16 years. I've always felt dancing to be my power and my sanction. When i'm down I dance. When I feel un-healthy I dance. When I need a boost of self-esteem and confidence I dance. Nobody judges you when you dance but you make people smile instead. It's away of not caring what size you are but to marching to your own drum. My project involves organizing a small dance group once a week where people have the option of doing it weekly or whenever they need it. Ranging from all types of dance such as ballet, hip hop, jazz and letting it lose!
