Ohio University’s Alpha Phi Omega, the national service fraternity, is hosting their 12th annual 5k race. This year we have voted on The National Autism Association as our cause! The money raised will be put towards the Helping Hands Program, a project within the NAA to help alleviate the financial strains of medical care for families with a child affected by autism. Although autism is a rapidly growing epidemic that is in desperate need of funds for research and care, the most imperative necessity is awareness. Creating a more empathetic and compassionate environment for this group of highly deserving individuals is our main focus.
