In my neighborhood, there is a man that gets the county to put out cat traps and when a cat is caught he clames that it is feral. Then the cat goes to the other side of the county to be in the pound for days until the owner wonders if the animal is dead or if they are hurt. By this time the owners are frantic about finding their pet. There last resort is to call the pound and see if the animal has been found. When the owner goes to pick up their pet the ask who it was that put their pet there. They are then told. When they hear this the try to tell the pound that all of the cats that come in from this neighborhood are not feril, they are all pets that are loved so dearly by their owners. The sad thing is that it has been going on for almost a year now and the county is still giving this man traps to put in his back yard. My neighbors all know that we need to act and are trying to think of a way to get it to stop.
