For our first day of our 3rd term of Do Something at our 4 middle schools we decided to have the students make a pledge. We asked each student to write down what they thought helped describe Kindness and Justice. After they each wrote down what they felt those two words meant, they were asked to take a pledge (they were not required, however each student did). With this pledge, they traced their hand, and wrote their name in it, under their name they were to write a number of how many acts of kindness they were going to do. That same day, we tied, tie blankets for a local nonprofit agency. This agency was Pathways Behavioral Service. The blankets went to children who were taken out of homes where drugs were present. Another project that we have done so far was sorting and cleaning coins for a local mental health agency. These coins were donated to the agency and were taken out of a fountian at a local mall. Pictures will be uploaded soon.
