The Andrew Jackson Police Youth Camp Program is a summer event every year for the past 50 years. The lodge operates this program for the under-privileged children at its facility in Wilson County on Old Hickory Lake. The 35 acre property has been developed into a site that has a pool, bunk house, mess hall, ball field and lake access. This week long curriculum of activities included is even a airplane ride from the Chapter of EAA and their Young Eagles Program and also The Nashville Magicians Union treats the kids to a magic show . This geared to develop team building and break down cultural barriers. The counselors are all police officers working in conjunction with the city to break the stereotype these children normally have of police officers.
We can only do this with the sponsorship of our community here in Nashville, Tennessee.
We our a non-profit organization and any sponsorships we received will get a mailed 501 (c)(3) receipt here at the Andrew Jackson Police Youth Camp. Our Head office is located at 440 Welshwood Drive, Nashville, Tennessee.
Please keep in mind that any sponsorship received is greeted with great anticipation. Our operating expenses for each child averages $500 for one-week at the camp, which includes all transportation, meals, activities, clothing and a ride in a airplane. There are optional levels of sponsorships based on these figures which may be used. We are also looking for corporate sponsorship on a new Special Needs Lodge so none of these under-privileged children will be left out.
I’m hoping this is something you and your corporate will want to help keep ongoing for our children here in Nashville, Tennessee
