Official Contest Rules and Legal Stuff

1. Contest Period:

The Contest begins April 7th, 2009 and ends on May 21st, 2009

2. How To Enter:

To enter, each person must:

• Be 25 years of age or under at time of submission.
• Be a legal resident of the United States or Canada.
• Post a video and/or picture at DoSomething.org/node/add/whitehouse
• Provide your full name, phone number, email address and birthday.
• Answer detailed questions regarding your submission if applicable.
• Use the tools provided on the Website to upload the Submission prior to the end of the applicable Submission Period.

3. Submissions:

Sponsors' computer is the official clock for purposes of Contest Submission. Proof of delivery or receipt of Submission will not be deemed by the Sponsors as proof of entry into this Contest.

All material submitted in connection with a Submission will become the property of the Sponsors and will not be returned. "Materials" include to the extent applicable (a) any information and material submitted by the user in connection with the Contest; (b) the names, likenesses, e-mail addresses, voices, and images of the entrants; and (c) all photographs, recordings, audiovisual materials, writings, biographical information, statements, and quotations of or by entrants.

Users understand that the Submission and Materials will be posted on the Website in connection with the Contest and made available for judging. Material as it is webcast on the Website may differ from the Material originally submitted due to technical errors, problems, compatibility or other issues, and Sponsors shall have no liability related thereto.

4. Judging Criteria:

At the end of the Submission Period, five (5) Submissions will be chosen as winners based on the amount of measurable change that was made, the originality of the idea, and the feasibility of the White House implementing the suggestions.
