Aria Finger Rocks Crain's "40 under 40" List

Reasons why is amaze-balls: our coffee mugs say “awesome sauce,” thousands of young people participate in each of our campaigns—oh yea, our COO Aria Finger is on the cover of this month’s Crain’s New York Business magazine.

One of Crain’s 40 under Forty, Finger says her dad, a former hippie who protested the Vietnam War, inspired her passion for social activism.

"Her energy is almost contagious," Scott Birnbaum, senior vice president of marketing and e-commerce for Aéropostale told Crain’s. "When you talk to her, you get lifted because she wants to make it happen so bad."

Finger first pitched DoSomething’s “Teens for Jeans” campaign to Birnbaum five years ago—one hour later she convinced the clothing company to support the national campaign, which saw over 2.3 million jeans collected for 800 homeless shelters. This year alone the Teens for Jeans drive collected over 1 million jeans for homeless teens.

The 29-year-old has also helped increase the number of teens participating in our campaigns by more than 400% to 2 million in the last four years. Woo hoo!
