Celebs get clothing conscious

What is “in” this season? Celebrities are combining their love of fashion with their love of charity and creating some rockin’ new fashion lines.

Pamela Anderson and designer Richie Rich say eco-conscious clothing is the latest thing. And that’s not all—their new line, “Muse,” will be vegan and feature leather-free shoes. It clearly reflects Pamela’s green girl attitude and animal loving work with organizations like PETA.

“I really don’t like to wear clothes, I would rather go naked,” said Pamela before the ROCK Fashion Week Richie Rich runway show at Miami Beach, “But I love Richie’s designs, so I agreed to be part of Muse.” The line will debut in mid summer and will feature casual, earth-friendly styles.

When you’re sick of summer styles, try on Gwyneth Paltrow’s Autumn/Winter line! On the other side of the globe, Gwyn has teamed up with French label ZOEtee’s to create a collection called “ZOEtee’s Loves Gwyneth.” The overall look will be 1970s inspired and it will be unveiled in London next week. Gwyn gave us a sneak peak of the line as she showed off her threads on the streets of London.

The profits from Gwyn’s line will benefit a children’s charity called “Kids Company,” a London-based organization that provides support to inner-city kids. Just last year, Gwyn took her own wardrobe and donated tons of clothes to the charity.

What do you think about these adventures in causey-clothing? Do you think this could become the standard for fashionistas or is it just a passing trend? Comment below!
