Hollywood stars stand up 2 cancer

When we think about Hollywood, we usually think of a world filled with movie premieres, glamorous parties, paparazzi, and red carpets. But there is much more happening in that world. Stars like Dakota Fanning, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Do Something Awards attendeeKristen Bell have all teamed up in a new public service announcement for the “Change The Odds” campaign in support of Stand Up To Cancer

SU2C brings people together in support of finding a cure for cancer and raising funds for cancer research. This PSA for the “Change The Odds” puts cancer into perspective. For example, we learn that there’s a greater chance of being diagnosed with cancer than getting stuck in an elevator or dating a super model.

On September 10, SU2C will air a television event from Los Angeles of their fundraising special on FOX, ABC, CBS, and NBC. The telecast will feature live performances by recording artists and stars from film, television and sports, which provide viewers with insights into cancer. Anchors Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer, and Brian Williams will host the telecast, which will focus on remembering those taken by cancer, as well as those surviving and living with cancer. All public donations will go directly to cancer research.

Join Dakota, Zac, Vanessa and the rest of the SU2C team now. Find out how you can raise awareness about cancer and help a friend suffering from cancer.
